I am Sébastien MULLER

Senior 3D Animator

Based in Montpellier (France), I first studied 3D animation for Games and VFX at Think Tank Training Centre in Vancouver where I obtained my Animation certificate. I also did an “Advanced Acting Animation Mentoring” with CG Spectrum mentored by the Senior Animator Mark Pullyblank.
Since then I accumulated experience in commercial while working at Dwarf-Labs and also in Gameplay animation like in Assassin's Creed Syndicate: Jack the Ripper (DLC) at Ubisoft Montpellier. I'm still in this studio now specialized in Cinematics animation for AAA games like Ghost Recon Wildlands, For Honor or Assassin's Creed Origins. I'm currently working the next yet unannounced AAA game.
Outside academia, I enjoy exploring the art of photography and website design/coding or doing some motion design.

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate - Jack the Ripper Animation Reel

Description:

Compilation of my work done at Ubisoft Montpellier as a 3D Animator for the AAA game Assassin's Creed Syndicate - Jack the Ripper DLC.
I primarily focused on the "Spike" feature for Jack the Ripper and Evie Frye animating the action from different orientation (N, S, E and W) and different pace (Walk or Run).
For the "Spike" feature, I was also in charge of the NPCs animations when they are spiked and having hallucinations (Evie) or being agonising (Jack).
I also animated some "Fear" behaviors of the NPCs when Jack is doing a "Death Scream" or when they see someone being spiked.
All animations are a mix of Motion Capture and keyframe.
